A master sanitation schedule is the single, standing list of everything in your facility that gets cleaned on a set frequency — every area, drain, and piece of equipment — with the method, the cadence, the person who owns it, and how each clean is verified. Build one so the periodic cleaning between production runs is planned and provable, not left to whoever happens to remember.
How to use this template
Your after-each-run and changeover cleaning usually lives in your library. The master schedule is for everything else: the weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual cleaning of drains, floors, walls, overhead pipes, cold storage, dry storage, and the outside of equipment — the deep cleaning that never happens on its own unless someone owns it and a date is attached.
Walk your facility once and list every area and piece of equipment that needs periodic cleaning. For each row, set four things: the method (reference your SSOP number rather than rewriting the whole procedure here), the frequency, the role responsible, and how the clean is verified. Then work the completion log below to record and sign off each clean as it happens. Download a blank copy to adapt for your facility.

The example methods and frequencies here are not yours
Every chemical, cadence, and verification threshold in the sample rows is an illustration to make the columns legible. Your frequencies and methods come from your own facility, your equipment maker's instructions, your chemical supplier's label directions, and your own risk assessment. In particular, an ATP pass/fail reading is specific to your instrument's manufacturer — use your device's validated limit, never a number copied from here. Replace every example with your real values before this schedule goes on the wall.
The sanitation schedule
One row per area or piece of equipment. Order the rows however your team walks the floor — by room, by line, or by frequency. Point the method column at the SSOP that spells out the full procedure; keep this column to the short version.
Food-contact surfaces earn the tightest verification — a before every run, and an on a schedule. Non-contact surfaces near the line and the wider room are usually verified by visual inspection and your environmental monitoring swabs rather than ATP.
Completion and sign-off log
The schedule above says what should happen; this log is the proof it did. Record each scheduled clean when it is done, who did it, who verified it, and the result. A Redo result means the verification failed — the task goes back on the list until it passes, and the finished clean is what gets signed off.

Choosing a frequency
Frequency is a risk decision, not a habit. A few rules of thumb for setting the cadence in each row:
Food-contact surfaces get cleaned and sanitized after each production run, or at least daily when a line runs continuously — never less.
Allergen changeovers get a full clean and a verified check before the next product runs, regardless of the calendar — schedule the task to the changeover, not to a fixed day.
Non-contact surfaces (floors, walls, drains, overhead) get a frequency that keeps them from ever becoming a source of contamination: heavier soil, standing water, or anything that attracts pests pulls the frequency up.
Anything with a food-safety verification — an ATP swab, an environmental swab, an allergen test — gets scheduled at least as often as your monitoring program checks it, so a verified clean always precedes the swab.
When in doubt, clean more often than you think and let your verification results earn a longer interval — never the other way around.
