Log who worked a production run — add people by department, set their check-in and check-out times, and tie it to the day's staff schedule.

Real help from real food people
Chef Diego runs a real food plant. If this page didn't get you there, tell us — a person reads every message.
The morning's chicken teriyaki bowls are boxed and on the dock, and a buyer's
food-safety questionnaire wants to know who was on the line when they were made.
That answer belongs with the run, not on a clipboard that goes missing by Friday.
Every run carries a Staff attendance tab where you log who worked it — grouped
by department, with each person's check-in and check-out. Open
Production runs, pick
the run, and switch to the supervisor view to find it.
Kitchen+
Open the Staff attendance tab
The tab sits after Recipes and Output records on a run, but it shows only in the
Supervisor view — the operator view stays trimmed to running batches. Use the
toggle at the top-right to switch to Supervisor, then select Staff
attendance.
The tab opens on the run's own date, shown at the top left. What you see here is
the for
that date: anyone already scheduled for the day appears, grouped under their
department with a count next to each department name. If nobody is scheduled yet, the
tab reads No staff scheduled for this run yet.
Add an employee to the run
1
Open the add form
Select Add employee at the top-right of the tab. The Add employee dialog
opens, noting the date it's Scheduling for so you can see which day you're
staffing.
2
Pick the person and department
Choose the Employee from your workforce records, then the Department
they worked in. The department defaults to the one you're filtered to, and both
lists come from the people and departments already set up for the company.
3
Set the shift times
Shift start comes prefilled at 09:00; change it to when they came on.
Shift end is optional — leave it blank while the shift is still open and fill
it in later. Use Room / Notes for a line or station, like Line 1.
4
Add them
Select Add. The person joins their department's group on the tab, with the
shift times you entered showing in the Check in and Check out columns.
Each row is editable right in the table. The Check in and Check out columns
hold the person's shift start and end as time fields — adjust either one as the day
plays out, correct a mistyped time, or fill in a check-out when someone clocks off.
The Notes column takes a short note the same way.
Change any field on a row and its Save button turns active; select it to record
the change. Each row saves on its own, so fixing one person's check-out never
touches anyone else's.

Remove an entry
If someone was added by mistake or didn't end up working the run, select Remove
on their row. It drops them from the run's attendance and from the staff schedule
for that date. Removing one person leaves the rest of the day's entries as they are.
How it ties to the daily staff schedule
Staff attendance on a run and the daily staff schedule are the same record seen from
two places. When you add someone here, you're scheduling them for the run's date, so
they also show up on the Staff schedule for
that day — and anyone you scheduled there ahead of time is already waiting on the tab
when you open the run. Edit a shift in either place and the other reflects it, because
there's one entry underneath, not two.
That's the point of keeping attendance on the run: the people who handled a batch stay
attached to the run they worked, next to the recipes, output, and temperature logs
from the same day.
