Assign a QC-cleared receipt to storage locations, which creates its tracked lots and moves the stock on hand.

A hundred cases of jasmine rice you booked in this morning cleared their quality check an hour ago. They're stacked by the dock, counted and signed off — but until each pallet has a rack to live in, nobody can pick from them and the on-hand count still reads zero. Open putaway on the cleared line
In Receiving, open the order — one waiting on storage reads Pending storage. In its Lines section, the line marked QC approved carries an Assign location button. Select it to open Assign locations.
Confirm the stock item
The card starts filled from the receipt: the Quantity that cleared QC, the Manufacture date, and the Expiration date. Leave the Lot number blank to have Bettr generate one, or type your own. For a product tracked by lot number, add an Alternative lot number — it's required before the line will store.
Assign a destination location
Under Locations, choose where the stock goes. The picker groups your locations by whether they already hold this product or sit empty, and shows how much room is free in each. Set the quantity that lands there in the box beside it.
Balance the quantity, then create the stock items
The bar at the bottom tracks To store against Allocated. Once every case is assigned and each stock item balances, it reads Complete and the Create stock items button turns on. Select it to store the lot.
One receipt doesn't have to land in one place.
Either way, the quantities have to add back up to the approved amount before the line will store. The bar at the bottom shows what's still unallocated, or flags cases over, until they match.
Storing the line creates a stock item — a tracked lot of one product in one location, with its own lot number, dates, and on-hand quantity — for each place you assigned, and puts that stock on hand. The line moves to Received, and Bettr confirms the lot numbers it stored. From there the line offers its receipt details and lot labels for the floor.
A full location won't take the overflow
A location tracked by pallet capacity only accepts what fits — the picker shows its free room, and if you try to send more, Bettr blocks the putaway and tells you how many more cases that location holds. Send the overflow to another location.
Putaway needs a cleared receipt
Assign locations only opens on a line that has reached QC approved. Open it on anything earlier and Bettr returns you to the order with a note that the receipt isn't ready — receive the line and clear its QC first.
